I received a call from Jeff Valin today informing me that his producers have just decided they like the sound of Firehouse Mondays rather than Firehouse Fridays.
The event for this Friday April 30th will now be held on Monday May 3rd.
The Firehouse Monday event consists of 2 minute live clips about every half hour from 5:30 am until 9:30 am, consisting of training, public education, equipment and of course our very own Singing Fireman. The event will be held at Station 2.
Again, all members are encouraged to attend. Attending does not mean you have to be on, or speak in front of the cameras.
The Meriden Fire Department has been contacted by Jeff Valin of Fox News and has been
picked for Firehouse Fridays, this Friday April 30th.
Mr. Valin will be spotlighting FF. Carlos Gonzalez for all his hard work and numerous accomplishments, including public education and being known as the singing fireman to the children of Meriden with his Guitar and song.
The live on air event will be held at Station 5 at 0530 this Friday. Any and all members are encouraged to attend, we'll have coffee to get the early day started right!
